The film I worked on awhile back - starring Josh Hutcherson as a teenage art prodigy in Carmel - is being released this summer. Theatrical release is limited and was released on DVD and pay-per-view July 3rd, 2012. The title has been changed from "Carmel-by-the-Sea" to "The Forger."
"In Light - Faces & Figures by William Rose" - my first museum show is opening Friday, November 18th (4-7pm) at the Albrecht-Kemper Museum of Art in St. Joseph.
"Rossina's Apple" and "A Day in the Life" - 2 of my charcoal drawings are featured in a large 2-page spread in the newly released book, "Strokes of Genius - the Best in Drawing"
A recent oil, "Listen" (48"x48") was published in the Nov, 2010 special issue of Poets & Artists along with a remarkable poem by Jess Burnquist. The painting was quickly purchased by the prominent Chicago collector Howard Tullman - the second piece of mine that he has acquired for his remarkable contemporary figurative collection. First significant museum show set for November, 2011 at the prestigious Albrecht-Kemper Museum of Art. It will be a large 2-man show pairing my work with the incredible abstract painter, James Brinsfield.

"About Face" the first in a series of large face and figurative oils, purchased by the prominent Chicago collector Howard Tullman for his remarkable contemporary figurative collection.

Winter, 2009 - chosen as artist to work on the new film "Carmel" backed by the Eastwoods about a teenage art prodigy who becomes involved in international forgery. Rose produces all of the artwork that appears in the film as the work of the kid-prodigy. It stars Lauren Bacall, Josh Hutcherson, Alfred Molina, Hayden Panettierre, and Dina Eastwood. Scheduled for release in March, 2012.
